Weather was a little warmer today (mid 40's) and I had today off! Decided to grab 10 rounds of 375 and 10 of 470 and head out to the range to do a little shooting off the sticks in prep for September. First target is the 375, 350gr woodleighs. Top five shots with scope, bottom horizontal string open sights with 6 o'clock hold on the bottom of the target. One shot off the sticks and the following 4 off hand as fast as I could work with he bolt and get a good sight picture.
Next target was the 470, 500gr woodleighs. First two shots off th sticks (the two on the center bull), then four more pairs off hand practicing rapid reloads.
Finished off the day shooting clay pigeons off the back berm at 100yds with a 223 off sticks. Quite fun! I'd start low gun with an empty chamber, approach the sticks and chamber a round and work on settling in for the shot.
