anybody know if any of hunting magazines on africa and ig game hunting in general are available in uk and any good books on hunting big game for a first timer...

adrian go to http://www.safaripress.com/ . not much in the way of african/big game hunting reading for sale in uk , but you can subscribe to various african/big game etc hunting mags who will post to you. african outfitter, sports afield, african hunting gazette, magnum magazine, field and stream, to name a few. if you join safari club international you will receive their mag every two months.

The one absolute must read if you read no other is: "The Perfect Shot" by Dr. Kevin "Doctari" Robertson.
He is a member of this forum under the screen name of Doctari505.
However, some other person in this forum told me recently that the larger/hard bound version of that book is out of print lately.
However, there is an abbreviated, soft cover/pocket size version that I notice is still for sale in a local sporting goods store, here in Alaska.
