Art Lambert II and Charlie Austin met up today at the SCI Kansas City Expo! A great afternoon was had talking to outfitters and taxidermists! It's always a great day when you get to talk hunting and plan for the next safari with a fellow AH member.

So who is that guy on the left standing with you guys?

Not sure! I think it's called photo bombing!

I should have checked to see if any one form AH was going to meet up. I drove up Sunday morning with my wife to meet with Somerby Safaris to finalize a leopard and buff hunt for 2017. Met the guys for breakfast at the Holiday Inn and ran into my taxidermist, Jim Guist.

Well we should have checked as well Custom! Sorry! Where do you live?

That Buffalo is better looking than you guys:ROFLMAO:. Just kidding:rolleyes:

Nice that you got to meet up.

I am in Springfield, MO @CAustin, though originally from the KC area on the Missouri side.

Custom looks like I will be using your Taxidermist! I spent a good while talking to him at the show!
Next time there is a show all AH members within driving distance should plan a get together.!

Brent in AZ you probably have better eye sight than most.

Jim is a great taxidermist. His shop is in Clever, down near me in Springfield. His "museum" is something to behold. He has all of his personal trophies on display, including all of the Big 5. He also has a full body elk and much more. If you are ever down to meet with him look me up.

Charlie and I had a great time at the expo, I don't know who I learned more from, Charlie or the Outfitters we talked to.

I like it CAustin.

We should plan to meet up at the next meeting or show. I was there both days. My wife was helping with the Silent Auction.

I am using Jim as well for full mount lioness from 2015 safari.

Agree on the meet-up. I am a member of the KC chapter but don't make most meetings as I am a few hours away.

I am using Jim as well for full mount lioness from 2015 safari.

Jim will do a great job on the lioness. I just booked a leopard and another buffalo for 2017. I'll have Jim do a full mount on the leopard - not sure how I'll have the buff done. It seems I have waited too long for a lion.

Nice buff in your Avitar Custom

Thanks! It was by far my most exciting hunt to date. My only DG hunt to date. It does get in your blood, though, hence my plans for 2017.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
