A few months ago my wife and i stayed in a hotel here in the UK.While we were being booked in i was looking at some African trophys on the wall in the reception area, one was a buffalo,it had a very short horn span and was not a good specimen at all. While i was looking a elderly chap came and stood next to me,he grunted, and said'i wouldnt have wasted me time on that bugger,'and walked off.The next day i saw the same chap in the hotel swimming pool,i couldn't help but notice several large scars about his body.Later i saw him again in the bar and offered to buy him a drink,'a double whisky,'he muttered.A few drinks later he became quite sociable and i plucked up courage to ask him a few questions,i aked him about the buffalo trophy, and he said again it wasn't wortha shot.It turned out he had been hunting in Africa for years, and had led hunting safari's.The scars had been made by a wounded leopard, the guest had shot but only wounded it so he had to go and finish it off.We talked long into the night much to the annoyance of the bar staff. The gentleman was called John Preese,i wonder if any one has heard of him?
