Hello! I've been reading the forum for a while and finally decided to join. I just moved to Alabama a couple weeks ago after a year apart from the family overseas (both my wife and I are in the military). I was in Montana and Colorado before that and spent a lot of time chasing elk, mulies and pronghorn. I'm still trying to find a good shooting range in the area and hopefully get a chance to hunt some deer and pigs this year, so if anyone near Montgomery needs another guy on a lease, let me know!

I haven't hunted Africa yet and don't expect to for at least a few years, but I love the Africa guns and the stories and pictures on here. I don't have any doubles but I do I have a pair of .375s and just bought a .458, so I hope to be well practiced with the large bores by the time I make it over there. I did hunt Alaska last spring before I left and had a blast. I plan to start doing that regularly, so that's all the excuse I need to keep accruing rifles!

Welcome to AH!

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
