Dear all,
I am looking for a new pair of hunting boots, my Lowa Zephyr are gone....
I would like to try something higher over the ankle and I started looking around, first I saw the Salomon XA Jungle Forces and now I have the C790 Belleville boots in the scope.
I would like to use them during the summer in the southern part of Tuscany, the temperature is often between 30° and 40°C with an average humidity of 70%.

Do you have any experience with bubble boots?
What do you think about them? Any suggestions?
Open to other ideas.
Thank you very much

I've been using the Rocky SV2 uninsulated & no steel toe that's very similar to the Belleville design.

They have a quiet sole, offer some ankle support, a little water resistance (when new) and they are light. One of their best features is whatever material they use for their laces is super durable and makes speed lacing easy. My feet also tend to run a little hot but these are well ventilated to help with that.

They are not perfect for everything, but they are really good in most circumstances.

With daily use they will last about 1.5 - 2 years. These ones are nearing end of life and I'll have to get a new set broken in before our trip next year.

I have a pair of Belleview Air Force Temperate boots that are my go to hunting boots.
Belleview boots are the best boots for the money on the market in my humble opinion.

I've been very happy with every pair of Salomons I've owned; probably 6-8 pairs over the past 5 years. Those have been trail running shoes, so not directly applicable to boots, but I think the quality very likely translates.

I can also heartily recommend Jim Green boots based on my experience over the past 3+ months with their Razorbacks. They were extremely comfortable out of the box and I've put hundreds of comfortable miles on them (~50 miles per week) and have had no issues except for sole wear, which I would call normal for a soft, quiet sole. Replacement soles are cheap at about $20. I already have a pair and will have them put on in the next month or two

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!
