Greetings, I have a question in relation to adjusting the iron sights of the R8 PH barrel (Safari/Selous variant) which are different in several way to the standard R8 barrel. In particular there is a significant difference in the iron sights provided. The iron sights on the start barrels are very easy to adjust and my question is NOT about the standard barrel. I it specifically about the iron sights on the Safari/Selous barrel only. The link to the video below will show the difference. ( Note: In the video I incorrectly said 18 inches. I should have said 12 inches)

Has anyone here had to adjust their iron sights ? If so, did you replace front, rear or both inserts ? Does anyone know who manufactures the iron sights for Safari/Selous barrels ?

I am aware that it's easier to just fit a red dot or scope. All of my PH barrels will eventually wear a scope and or a Red Dot. However, they must have the iron sights properly zeroed as well. Belt, braces and elastic options on all my serious rifles.

Thanks in advance for your experiences.

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!
