CLASSIC BUFFALO SAFARI:

We have the pleasure of securing quota on our 54,000-acre government reserve again. The park has not been hunted since 2021. The season starts in May and will end in Oct 2025. The Hunt will test any hunter with long hunting days tracking after an old bull like it’s supposed to be done. This hunt will take place on a private reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. You will be hunting between 4 of the big five while you are in pursuit of an old Buffalo bull. Expect a challenging yet exhilarating hunt. A fair level of fitness is expected. Drive time is 3 and a half hours from OR Tambo International Airport.


1 Hunter:
Day Rates $400 per night
We recommend a minimum of 7 full hunting days. 10 days ideal
Buffalo trophy fees:
Bull @ $6,500
Second Bull @ $5,500
Cow @ $2,000

• Selected dates available May - September
• $2,500 secures booking and dates.
  
  Included in the package:
• All accommodation during contracted safari dates
• Transfers from OR Tambo International Airport and concession.
• All meals while in camp, including all drinks, local beers and wines, Alcohol in moderation.
• Licensed Professional hunter, Skinners, Trackers and 4 x 4 Vehicle.
• Field pre of all trophies.

• Firearm permit
• Firearm hire and ammunition. Rifle Hire – $50 /Day, includes ammunition)

I hunted in the area couple times on the properties bordering Botswana on the river.
I'm confused because you said quota is from a government reserve but the hunt will take place on a private reserve?
Can you explain?

Yes, we are in partnership with the government. We own 30% Government 70%. Its been closed to the public since 2013. We have exclusive rights to the reserve.

Just curious to know if there are any size limits? What would be the typical trophy size range to expect?

No Size limits. Focus will be on old cantankerous bulls. Previous bulls ranged from 34'' - 40''. The average was 35''. If you are looking for inches, then our private ranch would be more suited.

Guys buff hunting with @DAVE FREEBURN SAFARIS is epic. I took one with him in june and had an absolute hoot of a time. I think we put in 30KM ish on foot to get him on the salt.

Unfortunately, this is for the 2025 season. Our accommodation it’s a lodge on the property. We are in the process of renovating the rooms so will have a new feel to the lodge come May.
