ok took this picture on my last trip over to South Africa, I have become obsessed with Buffalo hunting since I got back. They will be on the list next time I go back.

I am trying to learn all I can about them.

I would like peoples opinion on this bull

Age, size, quality of a trophy?

From the videos I have watched it appears to be a good one but I would like others opinions.

It's not ancient. Mature, hard boss bull.

Shoot it! Period. Fine trophy. IMHO.

Not a real old bull. Incredible bosses. Interesting how undeveloped the shoulders are with headgear like that.

It has good spread and a good boss, hard to tell age without any other pics but it doesn’t look old to me.
Any other images and angles would help age the bull.

A mature hard bossed bull. The horns have the drops you want to see.
As the others have said, he isn't an old bull, but he is a trophy.
Would I shoot him? Yes.
But if he had an older, scarred, worn down horns bull next to him I would want that animal.
Each to their own, some folk want the pretty buffalo with the wide spread, the perfect sweep.
I want the old warriors with character and scars.

Not the best photo. I would guess 7 years max, good boss, spread, and curl. Face is still full of hair, horn tips sharp. If this was a wild buffalo in an un-fenced area he would just about be at breeding age/size....he has lots of potential but a bit too young in my opinion....

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
