The Corona Virus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) from the USA includes about $11 billion for three African NGO's. 1. African Development Fund (ADF) $514 million, 2. International Development Assoc (IDA) $3+ billion, and 3. African Development Bank (ADB) $7 + billion. It is important that Americans traveling abroad have a little understanding of what the USA does for the underdeveloped world in general and Africa specifically. 50% of all charity and 40% of all humanitarian aid, and many economic aid and infrastructure gifts not easily quantifiable.American charity went up sharply after the Trump tax cuts (Blackbaud, AidData, and InsideCharity confirmed) despite major media saying the opposite. Anecdotally, the UK paid off Somalia's $122.5 million sovereign debt (EU helped) and Canada made the top 6 in giving, again. Transparency International says the $11 billion will result in at least $2 billion deposited in off shore numbered bank accounts, but that is Africa. The same day the CARE act passed, The Washington Post ran an article entitled, "Trumps Corona Virus Aid Package ignores the rest of the World". Another WaPo lie by a once great newspaper. As a man involved in not for profits for many years, I am terrified of what next year will bring with regard to giving. Free enterprise is the corner-stone of Philanthropy. But as for now, I commend the Yanks, Brits and Canucks......well done and hang in there............do not expect a thank-you from Africa, take your reward from the faces of the children............FWB

Many NGO's are just a corrupt part of the swamp, with little money actually getting to those in need.

First world tax dollars are given to selected NGO's. The leaders of the NGO's are paid well. Much of the money comes back to the politicians that approve the release of tax dollars to the NGO's. Look at how little money actually got to Haiti and how much was siphoned of by charities like the Clinton Foundation.

Governments should get out of the donation business. Let it be handled by charities that actually try to account for the funds.

Exactly sir.

@flatwater bill , Great points, thanks! Tough year again for Africa with COVID-19 and locust, along with all the other "TIA" issues.

I thought the other day about Australia, dealing with the fires and now COVID-19.

I am concerned with the pandemic lasting into Q3 or Q4 2020 and if something like a major hurricane strikes the US. Overwhelming!

Do you remember the Canadian newscaster, Gordon Sinclair, who made a famous speech in 1972. Sort of timeless!

The understatement of all time. Thank you, Sir.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
