Chapuis Safari Express EL with long tang, three flip up sights, upgraded wood, and leather case regulated with federal woodleigh factory ammo but will shoot hornady factory loads in a 3 inch group as well also have load data for this gun to regulate with 350 grain loads. I hate to let this fine gun go but am upgrading to a new double and need to fund it. LOP is 14 and a half inchs. i have more pics of it for if interested I am asking 11k thanks

She is a beauty!

Thanks guys she is a beauty and a great shooter I really hate to part with her as she has done me well and she has been to zim and Mozambique but I am currantly having a new 470 nitro built and I don't need two my new one is setting me back 25k so this one has to go. With federal ammo she prints one inch groups per barrel about two inches apart with hornady she prints one inch groups just a bit larger and two inch low and left of the federal ammo but I have some hand loads in 500 gr and 350 that will almost shoot ragged holes one inch apart

I know if you where to shop a bit you may find one around the same price or less but you won't find one with this kinda wood or leather wrapped case for the price

Someones going to be a new double owner.

Very pretty.

VERY nice! I like it.

I forgot to add this gun has ejectors as we'll and I will throw in a set of a zoom snap caps I also have a set of RCBS reloading dies for the interested new owner if they would like them

Hey Uintelkhunter,
Did you find a buyer for this gorgeous DR? Not an option for me right now, just saw the post and wondered if you sold it.
Also, I see you're from Utah and with your handle I'm guessing you are out in the Uinta basin? We have probably shared some stomping grounds :) I grew up tromping around the Uinta mountains and Book Cliffs, as well as Flaming Gorge and Green River. Shot a nice 4 point muley buck in the Book Cliffs with a bow in '99 which was the first open year after the closure out there. Best mule deer hunt ever!
Good hunting to you

Hey Uintelkhunter,
Did you find a buyer for this gorgeous DR? Nope I still have it. It is kinda hard to sell as I really don't want to. I really love this gun.
I'm in salt lake now but grew up on the north slope and family still own a ranch and run cattle up there. I try it now hunt up there and am hoping to draw a bighorn tag one day up on the Unitas north side.

Don't blame you a bit! Beautiful gun.
Good luck on the sheep tag (y) That would be an awesome hunt and I hope you get to do it someday. I keep putting in four the Nine Mile unit every year, but will probably never draw it. Too far behind in points, but ya never know :D

If I haven't just bought a Searcy, I would be all over this gun. Very very nice.

What do you want for it?

very nice double , good luck with the sale

Super wood on that baby. She shouldn't last too long. Kevin

Would take 5000 and a fully guided buff hunt for 6 days in the nt in Australia for it mate as this gun is exactly what I want as they fit me perfectly I have tried out every other double at the shows and none fit like the chapius ! This is a serious offer ! The first bull we got this was shot at 30 m and goes 95 sci and there are much bigger ones out there , where we hunt is traditional thick scrub surround small floodplains by a major river system !
