Covid testing to End, Arrivals USA

That is only 1 year plus too late!!! Agree with @jbaker1 about freaking time!

But you still need it to fly out of the US.
Personally, I think it's another one of his stupid decisions due variants being active in other Countries and now the Monkey Pox.
We all have our own opinions.

But you still need it to fly out of the US.

This seems to be going away (albeit slowly) as well..

Most countries are now requiring vax only (no PCR or rapid test required if you have proof of vax).. and there is an indication that some will drop even that requirement soon and/or will leave the requirement in place, but stop checking to see if people meet it...

sorta like yellow fever vaccination still being a requirement to enter several African countries even though Yellow Fever has all but been eradicated...

The last time anyone actually asked to see my shot record and proof of a yellow fever vax was when I applied for a multi-entry, 5 year visa for Kenya sometime around 2005... Ive been back to Kenya at least 15-20 times since then.. and should have been asked for proof of yellow fever vax based on their law (been in a yellow fever "risk" country prior.. like Uganda, South Sudan, Argentina, etc..etc..).. but have never once been checked or been asked to prove anything...

It should be for Citizens of the U.S. only. Kind of silly to keep a person out of their own country.

Hopefully all of that BS goes away. Still have never taken a test or "safe and effective" jab and not ever going to!

Whoopee, This means another half day of hunting!

That’s the best new that I’ve heard in a long time. I return on the 15th and now I don’t have to screw the test and expense.

By the way, I been all over Central and Eastern Europe for the past three weeks. And none asked to see a card or testing. The only problem was Vienna, N95 masked required on public transport. Boosters for nothing.

Crap crap crap, flying back from the UK tomorrow. Stupid bastard is doing it one day too late!

Leave for Australia in 2 weeks and have been trying to figure out how and where to test for the return. Things just got way easier.

And rather than just make a decision effective immediately, they leave an arbitrary rule in place. Because it's not safe for you to come back Saturday without a test, but Sunday it will magically be fine.

Then there's Canada, non vaxed Canadians cannot still fly or take a train between Provinces. Our top Chinese Doc just today stated her science still states these rules are saving lives because world is still in pandemic. (Her words). Good job we have a dicktator. Maybe some year travel will be allowed.

Glad to see the rest of the world is wakening up.

Apparently the lifting of the testing on Sunday is that it will give the CDC time to notify the airlines. The unknown….will the airline personnel in the third world countries be aware of the lifting of the requirement, don’t bet on it. If I were returning from Africa in the next few days I would want clarification that it will no longer be required to fly back to the US, my experience flying out of SA or Namibia…do not take anything for granted.

Very valid point.

We all raised a glass here last night on safari in RSA to this very good news. We leave tomorrow! How lucky can we be?
Report will come soon.

Reza Call me any time you want to talk about Elephant. hunting and CMS.
I've hunted two Elephant with CMS.
In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
