hey all you bow hunters, moreso, crossbow hunters

i have a client coming to hunt with a crossbow and i just want to be a bit more informed as to any new or funny regulations with regards to the travelling with a crossbow
he is coming from USA to south africa
i assume it is like a compound bow, checked in as normal luggage etc
what about the bolts/arrows etc anything unusual

any info would be helpful

looking forward

If he is flying through Amsterdam, you are not to have broadheads, target points or some knives period in your case or luggage? I shipped mine to my hunting partner in Sweden, so he could transport them to Africa for me. Other than that no problems for me, bow case was setting in oversize luggage area in JoBerg.

You're not allowed to bring broadheads, target points, or knives in your bag or luggage if he's travelling via Amsterdam? I sent mine to my Swedish hunting companion so he could take them to Africa on my behalf. Aside from that, I had no issues; my bow case was stored in Joerg's large luggage section.

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

Hello. If you haven't already sold this rifle then I will purchase. Please advise. Thank you.

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
