Current airfares to Africa

Just checking around on the normal internet sites for airfares to Africa, I find that business class tickets to Johannesburg run nearly half of what such flights are to the other major east African cities. Used this September for dating and SeaTac for the round trip. Like 3500 USD or so vs. 6000USD or so. Wonder why such a difference?

last month if I could have gotten business class for 3500 I would have been all over it but the last price I saw was on United at 9500 so I went economy it sucked never again

There are multiple flights a day to JNB on some carriers versus max 1 per day other destinations. It also depends on the time of year. Our summer is most expensive.
