CZ 500 Jeffery. I heard some of these had loading issues and were a bit finicky. This one operates well with Hendershots and Aria Ballistics ammo, I cannot speak for other brands of ammo, I have not tried any.
Has some hunting bruises on the wood as shown in photos, metal parts are A+. The bore and mechanicals are excellent. I went a little overboard purchasing a double rifle and need to thin the herd a bit to justify the new purchase. I hate to see it go, hopefully someone here can give it a good home and some exercise in the field. The recoil is awful, please be aware.
Asking $4500 including shipping to your FFL.

I can do $4000 shipped on this rifle. It needs a new home.

Howdy, it looks like factory specs are 10.94LBS and a 13.75” LOP. I attached a photo of the CZ factory spec sheet.
Thanks

I like where you say the recoil is awful...best line ever in a big bore rifle ad. I've owned a couple of 500J's and the recoil is a lot more than most people expect. However, it's hard to find these guns and this is a good price.

Thank you sir. Anyone interested in a .500 Jeffery should be advised it is a great deal more recoil than a 416, 458, 500 nitro ect…

It seems right in line with a .505 Gibbs recoil, but that is just my opinion.
Adrenaline fueled hunting shots aren’t so bad, a day at the range taking plinking shots certainly takes it toll on the shoulder.
Take care

I'd buy it if I had the money.

Where is the rifle located? City/State. Thanks

I was asked about partial trades. I prefer to sell outright to make room in the safe. However, my main interest is antique British rifles. I like Martini sporters in large calibers (not modern gunsmith creations, just older English guild Martini sporters). I was asked, so I thought I would put it out there. I am easy to talk to, if this CZ has your attention and you have an antique English rifle, I’m sure it will get my attention.
Cheers

you know how photos go .. but it's a nice looking stock, imo.

I think their beautiful as is. Love the heavy barrels.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.
