It started out as a 375 H&H, had it rebarreled/rechambered by Harlan at Triple River to 500 Jeffery, some upgrades from AHR and finally some finishing feeding and action work by Kevin Weaver. I have about $2,000 into it now, but it's a sweet flawlessly functioning rifle.

In the field with my youngest son and a 450 lb hog I killed at 8 feet this Saturday (my son killed a 550 lb hog an hour earlier with his tried and true 270 Win)

That is a good looking rifle. The CZs are tough to beat when you go with the bigger rounds.

Did you have to use a single stack magazine?

You should post a picture of that monster you son shot.

My first PH in Zim ( Thys DeVries ) carried a CZ 500 Jeff for all his elephant hunting. Loved it!

My 500 Jeffery has a staggered not single stack magazine, but feeds flawlessly. Here's the monster hog my son shot with his 270. The first shot in the eye knocked him down, it took two more 150g Partitions to keep him down. Mine dropped like a house fell on him, a 570g TSX at 2410 fps will do that. Here's my youngest son's hog

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
