D&L CHB Customs Broker Chicago

Has anyone used D&L out of Chicago for customs broker recently? I found one old post from 2018 on this site that recommends them but their reviews on google and facebook have me thinking twice, to be fair a lot of the other recomended companies (coppersmith, trophy shippers, ATE etc). all have similar reviews though.

Are you looking for a trophy shipment clearing agent?

Contrary to what the clearing agents like everyone to believe, the process does not require an official "agent", and you can do it yourself. I have cleared a number of shipments myself, and there is no mystery to it. Of course, if you don't live near the port of entry, then it probably makes more sense to hire an agency. Some taxidermy studios handle (for a fee) the clearing of shipments either in-house or using a third party. In that scenario I'd suggest asking them how long they usually take to complete the process as now a days the after-arrival storage fees can quickly become exorbitant.
