I am now prepared to kill some ducks to go on my dead mount pieces I just made. Well I have 3 mallards in the freezer but that’s just the start of it.
my plan is one for puddle ducks and one for divers.
The wood is from my Grandmas old farm homestead which my parents live on the property now. I saved some barnwood off an old barn that is falling apart after 80+ years.

I just got my first dead mount ducks this year. Wish I would have done more of my birds that way.
Back board is just cedar fence boards stained with vinegar/steel wool.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
