Barrel looks short, 22"?

yes, 21" and some change.
I always loved it as it fit me like a glove, carry all day.
I am a large frame so recoil no issue for me.

The bigger the guy, the more the recoil is felt. Physics.

Thanks

Folks keep telling me that. By that logic, my 9-year old son should be just about ready to plink with a 460 Weatherby LOL…
It might knock him down, but probably not hurt as much, LOL. But we are talking about adults. The recoil pushes back against whatever is behind it.
The heavier body offers more resistance to that recoil than the lighter body, thus more recoil delivered to the shooter. How it affects the individual depends on that individual.

I have witnessed much better recoil control on the biggest kickers on the planet, up to ridiculous smokeless powder rifles and 4-bores, with larger framed folks. Smaller framed people just can’t handle what a larger framed person can. Some of the rifles I’m talking about weigh 23-25 lbs. A smaller person can’t lift, aim, and control that rifle yielding 200 lbs of recoil at all. Now I have seen big guys shoot reasonably weighted rifles in useful calibers like 416 Rigby and 458 Lott and complain about vicious recoil when smaller folks with more experience handle those rifles better. That’s not where we disagree. I don’t really feel the need to argue the point further. I may just have a different opinion based on a different set of experiences.

Thanks,

RC

Thank you for all the pictures! Good deal for all that is included. Scope and rings have a bit too much wear for the rifle I intended to use them on. Thanks again.

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?

HI all, here is a Short update on our America trip, I currently in Houston and have 2 more meetings here before movings North toward Oklahoma, Missouri and Iowa, and from there I will head to Colorado and Idaho,I have been met with great hospitality and friendship, and have met several new and old clients and we are going to book the rest of 2025 season quick and have several dates booked for 2026!
That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
