I had ordered a new Double Rifle from Heym about one and half years ago, and have been advised it now been finished and ready to go.
Originally, when I had ordered the gun i sopke with Heym and we agreed i could pick it up at the factory when completed and travel back to Tanzania, where i live with the said firearm.
Now i was advised by the comany they use for export that they need to shipit to me as freight and that is something i wanted to avoid. Aparently it is something to do with the customs exit/export stamp, which they say they can only get when the gun is sent as freight and not checked luggage. I really don't see that it would make a difference as when I check a firearm I'm sure customs would stamp the export documents at the airport.
I wanted to reach out to members in case anyone is able to help put me in touch with the right people who could organse to get the relevant export permits in Germany so I can travel back to TZ with the gun as checked luggage.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
