Hi, any info on what is your favorite arrow rest and which ones to avoid and why you like or don't like them?

I like the Schaffer performance XV rest. It’s like no other in function as it moves side to side. They tested it in Minnesota where I live in the cold and no failures. You can also lock your arrow in if needed.

Thanks buckmarkhunter !

+1 on the locking rests. I have an older (bought 4-5 years ago) one that I need to look at the name again, but it locks the arrow until drawn. Really nice feature

Still prefer the QAD ultra rest, low noise & easy to set-up.
I use it exclusively on my hunting bows.

My wife has a whisker biscuit, works well since she forgets to "lock" in the arrow on the QAD sometimes. Accuracy not bad at all, totally quiet though you may lose a small amount of FPS due to the resistance on the arrow when it passes through it, but nothing serious unless you are a speed freak that believes light arrows at crazy speeds are the answer to everything.

I'm a fan of the QAD too. Holds an arrow, fairly quiet in operation. For a drop away it's got a great track record. I had one put on one bow in mid 2013 and then moved to another in 2014 and used without fail until this spring when I put a new one on my latest bow.

I have QAD Ultrarests on all of my bows. I find them easy to tune, small, light, quiet, and very reliable overall....

Thanks for the input, the QAD has a lot of fans! Do you prefer to serve it in or use a clamp?

Agree with all about the QAD s'....serve it in

Half dozen of one, six of the other....

My first one was clamped, no issues the entire time. Second one my bowjunky friend saw and insisted on serving it in, it works too.

I have QAD on a couple bows - one served in and one clamped. Been happy with both of them.

QAD... My two current bows both have them and I had one on a previous bow. I’ve never had one malfunction. A few times I’ve raised the arrow holder with the arrow between it and the riser. USER ERROR!
One is clamped and the other served in. No difference.

we use the clamp on the bow used by my nephew(15), we adjust DL & DW as he matures, the clamp does save a bit of time & effort if we need to adjust.

QAD all the way. I run my string through the cable. Then I serve it. I did have a Qad break after about 6 years and 100s of miles and arrows sent down range. Sent back to Qad fixed it and only took a short time. Hamskea also makes a great rest. Dang I love bowhunting

That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
