It is with a heavy heart that I am offering my 2004 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade .30-06. The rifle is in absolute unfired condition and controlled round feed. I specially ordered the rifle new from my FFL in 2006 to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the .30-06 Springfield and because I knew that production in New Haven was coming to an end. It was only later that I learned the rifle was actually built in 2004.
If there is a scratch on the rifle, then I absolutely cannot find. The sole exception would be the tracks in the bluing of the feed rails from opening the bolt. The rifle does have the pictured two-piece Leupold bases attached and included. Said bases were installed without the use of Loctite. Further, the rifle does not have any of the rough tool marks that were present on the New Haven guns of the nineties.
The rifle has never been sighted in nor hunted with and has been sitting in various cabinets/safes of mine for the last 18 years. I am only selling to soften the blow of my recent freight invoice that contains my 2023 leopard, etc.
I am asking $2150 shipped to your FFL. Please ensure your FFL will accept a shipment from a private individual.

That’s a really nice looking rifle. If the bolt was on the other side I’d be working out payment arrangements. GLWS

Does the floor plate have "Super Grade " engraved, or just plain?

Due to updated freight quotes nearly 50% of the original invoice and, thankfully, lack of buyer interest, I am happy to report that rifle is no longer for sell. Thank you to everyone for the positive comments. Thread closed.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John buzzardhilllabs@hotmail.com

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
