Ok Guys here is the CZ 458 Win Mag relisted since all is in proper order.
This was a project gun to accompany my 458 Lott as back up to it. Well as we know. SAPS will not let you bring 2 of same caliber so I am parting with it for this reason and my future safari plans have changed direction with some medical issues arising again.

CZ 550 458 Win Mag. Gun was as new when I purchased. Tim at Matrix did 90% of the work to it.
New Bell Carlson stock installed, glass bed and recoil reducer along with new decelerator recoil pad. Barrel shorten to 23 inches. New custom front sight, rear sight, barrel band, safety conversion, single stage trigger, blue gun coat, bolt jeweled, mag block installed for better feeding. As before I stated it still had feeding and a couple little issues. Those are all resolved and gun feeds well and functions great. I will provide by pm who did the final work as he stated not to mention in public forum he did it. There are a couple little marks from all the shipping of gun. I shot an open sight 2 shot 50yard group yesterday to show how regulated with Federal 500gr Swift Aframes.
Will include with sale.
102 Federal safari 500gr Swift Aframe factory loads.
20 Federal Safari 500gr Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solids.

$3200 shipped for all

I have way more invested in this project but moving it out.

458 WM and 458 Lott are not the same caliber

Are you feeling okay today? I'm worried about you or my reading comprehension is lacking. If that is that case I'm worried about myself.
They shoot the same caliber bullet but are not regarded as the same caliber so you can bring both on a hunt.

The terminology is all a bit of a hot mess.
I’ve always understood calibre to mean to diameter of the bullet eg. 30 cal
and cartridge to mean the chambering of the rifle eg. 30-30, 308 win, 30-06, 300 WM etc.

The Firearms Control Act 2000 (South Africa) uses the term ‘calibre’ without much of a definition eg. ‘The holder of a temporary authorisation may not possess more than 200 cartridges per calibre of firearm stipulated in the temporary authorisation…’

Whether they consider a 458 WM and 458 Lott different might depend on the person behind the desk. Same calibre different cartridge.

Nice rifle Mark. What’s the LOP?

Not according to Henry at RiflePermits. He said no when asked. That SAPS will not approve. That's what I am going by
So according to him you would not be able to bring a 7x57mm and a 7mm Rem magnum on the same hunt???

I have no idea on that.
He stated in an email when I asked about bringing 458 win mag and 458 lott
SAPS said no to it. That they considered it the same caliber. That's all I am going by.

Not so, as long as the paperwork shows 458WM and 458 Lott it is not an issue. If you write .458 as the caliber for both yes it will be an issue....
SAPS have a comprehensive list of all "calibers" which is what is stamped on the barrel or apears on the licence or paperwork

Just spoke to him and he has confirmed not an issue as long as the paperwork has been filled out correctly so 458WM and 458 Lott as aposed to just 458...hope that helps...
Anyway not to derail the thread...

Mark, can't wait to see the 416 Rigby when you get that nice stock you bought for it installed. I have my fingers crossed it make it to you in one piece.

Ok Guys had this asked if woukd separated ammo and rifle.

Gun only. $2550 shipped
If you don't want the ammo
I have way more invested in it. As you know what Matrix work costs. Plus extra getting feeding sorted this last go around.

Here is what I am going by. Email dated July 3 2023 from Henry.
Says SAPs will consider this as two of same Caliber.

Good price for someone looking for a great utility rifle that’s already to go as is.

I have personally seen and handled this rifle, it looks great, feeds great and is a very well balanced rifle.

For what Mark has in this rifle this is a great deal for someone looking for a 458 WIN

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
