Interarms Whitworth 458 Win Mag controlled round feed.
This is in great shape. Possibly unfired but I can’t be 100%. Has rings, bases and a muzzle brake. $900 plus $55 shipping to the lower 48.

Is the muzzle brake removable?

Nice packaged rig you have there.... is that Turkish wood? @CAustin Not that familiar with the Whitworths.

I'm not sure on the Turkish walnut. The Whitworth was a step up from the Interarms Mark X. Has nicer wood, express sights, crossbolt and recoil lug, shadowline cheekpiece, forend tip and a nicer buttpad than the plain Mark X comes with. Not sure if the removable brake was an option on plain Mark X.

Do you have a pic with the muzzle brake on and a pic of the end of the barrel with it off? Thanks.

Thx.... just not familiar with these as say a CZ, Ruger, Browning, Remington, etc.... thought I’d inquire with people more in know or purveyors.
Doing more homework... but
I’m digging it...

Nor am I really. I would simply say this rifle looks nice to me!

Lovely firearm! Very nice piece of wood!

One would think that with as many of these have gone thru here, that they would no longer be some sort of mystery rifle!:rolleyes:o_Oo_Oo_O That is a very nice example, except for the addition of the hideous muzzle brake!

Ha! Well it is removable. Now don’t be chasing potential buyers away! With noise canceling muffs it’s not a bad addition.

I am sold on the idea of using the muzzle break for load development. Then remove it for practice or hunting. Saves the stock and one's shoulder at the bench.

Good luck with the sale!

I didn't mention anything not listed, just my oh so very humble opinion on muzzle brakes. Brake that is not breako_O:rolleyes:.

Thats one nice rifle!! And as @fishhead says the Whitworth is a step up from.the Interarms Mk.X. I use a Mk.X in 458 Win Mag and find it very dependable indeed. The action is solid with the characteristic looseness of a Mauser, and my gunsmith told me that my rifle has the civillian version of the Mauser action which has also been lapped and polished (so check if yours has been too). The only criticism I have is that I find the bolt handle a little thin for my liking. I've restocked my rifle too. Hope this helps some.

All Mark X rifles are the civilian version. The Whitworth is the same rifle with different stocks and sights, actions and barrels are the same, Yugo. I would guess any lapping and polishing/smoothing took place after market. My .375 Whitworth was rougher than a cob:eek: when I bought it new in 1984, after 3 trips to Africa and many rounds down range, its a little smoother now!:D:D:rolleyes:

Is the Whitworth, Mark X, and Zastava 91 the same gun with small differences like stocks, triggers etc
I recently purchased a Zastava 91, 375. Very nice rifle

That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
