For sale is a Remington Model 7 stripped UNDESIGNATED action. Undesignated means it has not been listed as a rifle, so it can be built into either a rifle or bolt action specialty pistol.

Reciever and bolt only. No bottom metal, no trigger.

$300 shipped lower 48 to your FFL (ffl must accept delivery from private citizen). AK or HI contact me for actual shipping charge.

I just had a 6X45 built off of basically the same thing. Really enjoying that new gun.

I had thought about doing the same. I also have a Brux 1:8 6mm bbl that'll finish at 22-23" I picked up off a forum.

If anyone wants the brux AND M7 I will do a package deal for $500 even

Damn... my dog just had surgery that cost 1K or I would be in serious consideration! Good deal on the pair. I will let my gun smith know as well.

I cant believe I am asking... do you know what the taper is on the barrel and is it threaded for this action?

Does it have a serial number? I thought all actions had to have a serial number unless you made the action yourself.

Yes it has a serial number. However, it was never listed by Remington, nor the FFL that it was a rifle or pistol, just as "other" like buying a stripped AR15 lower. You can turn a pistol into a rifle, but you can not turn a rifle into a pistol (with out an NFA stamp). This is how guys build bolt action pistols, they buy non designated actions. It is still a serial numbered and tracked part that requires a background check to transfer

It is a little heavier than a sporter, but not quite light varmint, maybe even a tad heavier than a "magnum" sporter. No it is not threaded for this action, its a contoured blank at the moment.

Thanks much for the info.

Did I miss it? What's the contour on the Brux? Can you check the muzzle diameter and the blank length? It sounds like it's either a Sendero, #4 or #5. With the measurements, I can pull the contour off of Brux's website.

Haven't missed it!

You know, Sendero is pretty dang close but it's shorter. I'll get measurements tomorrow. It would finish nicely between 21-23. 24 would leave a huge shank, but would leave plenty of set back and rechamber area after burning out the throat

Just curious, but isn't the fact that the receiver says ".300 BLK" mean that it must be built as a .300 Blackout per BATF, regardless if configured as pistol or rifle?

Not as far as the smiths I talked to have mentioned. That can also be milled away, as the only part you cannot alter is the serial number.

I haven't purchased a "new" rifle recently and since the barrel is where the chamber, which determines the cartridge, I find it strange that the cartridge would be designated on the action. All of the guns that I have seen have the cartridge designated on the barrel. Is designating the cartridge on the action a new rule for any new rifle or is this one unique?

It was a special run of Model 7's in a collaborationg with Advanced Armament Co that they made too many actions for. Google " Remington 7 AAC" and you'll get a lot of pics. They were threaded barrels, had adjustable comb stocks. These came out a bit before every gun seemingly started coming suppressor ready like they are now. 5-6 years ago it was something special, now Ruger American's come can-ready

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
