Even though I believe in the NRA's mission to protect the second admendment. This Fox video commentary is just another reason why I haven't renewed my NRA membership nor contributed to NRA-ILA fund in decades.

You can’t turn around without them calling or sending letters asking for money. I told them i don’t want any more calls! I haven’t paid my dues this year either.

Rediculous, living the high life on OUR backs.

I know we need an Organization to protect our gun rights. However, people struggle day to day to make ends meet and this guy is living like a maharajah. Not a care in the world.

He needs to leave right after the next election.

I agree that Wayne needs to leave, in my book the sooner the better. I wonder if there has been as large a drop off in donations as I suspect there has been. That should give the rest of the organization a clue that something needs to change. That being said, Wayne "drags a lot of water" at the NRA and pulling up his anchor isn't going to be easy. But nonetheless it needs to be done.

They send you letters saying ‘you need to act now, your gun rights are being threatened “ when it should actually say Wayne’s house payment went up. I didn’t realize it was that bad. Pisses me off.

Wayne needs to go, like we've all have said. However, remember that we still need the NRA, and the left is afraid of the NRA power. All this couldn't come in a worst time, and with all the shootings, I believe we are going to end up loosing big. A

Your right about that, couldn’t come at a worst time. I heard that Congress has like three new bills they want to get through, universal background checks, red flag laws and something else . If these laws are passed before they put it on the nation what they should do is try them out in Chicago first and see how they work.

Wayne is another one of the myriad of folks who lost their way along the path and let money and power become the focus. Like so many politicians, corp executives, non-profit CEO’s, they start with humble beginnings but morph into power hungry, selfish two-faced monsters with fat bank accounts. The worse part is he like others is unrepentant and will ride into the sunset fat on the backs of the thousands of 2nd amendment supporters who have donated since he got to the NRA in 1977.

I think PARA45 hit the nail on the head. We need the NRA, but Wayne needs to go. Even though, the NRA has been weakened, it’s membership is still a huge voting block.
This is a tangent, but the loss of Chris Cox as the chief lobbyist was a huge loss.

Power corrupts.

If this is all true, then the board has failed to perform their job. If true, the CFO and the outside auditor need to be gone for not bringing this to the board.

It is time for the board to call in a third party to review the perks that the board receives. Otherwise membership and fundraising may turn negative in a big way as this news is disseminated.

A disturbing report to say the least. A few thoughts.

I agree 100% that the NRA is critical to protecting our rights.

I’ve “sensed” something was wrong within the NRA for years. I am of the opinion that when an organization falters the first place to look is at the top. Hopefully the negative press will raise concerns within the NRA itself and someone will address whatever is at the root of all of it.

The flip side of the coin is, should we trust a single report by a member of the US media? Delivered by someone with a British accent nonetheless. I’m sure there are others here that could either dispel or substantiate the facts.

My 2 cents.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
