I noticed on the George Gibbs Site if Im understanding correctly they have an unfinished Exposed Hammer .577 BPE that they discovered that can be finished as a new gun and proofed in .577 Nitro 2.75". Seems a bit strange, How often does a builder misplace a project for 130 years?

assumimg they are the original barrels, it might have to proofed as "nitro for black" due to twist rate suited to short express bullets.
bruce.

They can refinish the rifle. It obviously had seen some use if you look at the stock on the picture. It is a lot of money for a rather impractical double in my opinion.

I'm not really in the market. I'll admit I didn't look close enough. At first glance I thought it was in the white with unfinished stock. That "can finish as new" statement through me off. Guess it should have been "refinish as new".
