What sort of action work would it take to get a 22-250 Parker hale 98 to feed the 318.

obviously I’d get a 30-06 sized floor plate and follower.

In my opinion would have to compare the shape of the action feed rails & mag box to a 30/06 version, to the best of my knowledge a 243 is the same as a 30/06, but the mag box has a spacer in it that can be removed, i do not know about a 22/250 aslo the bolt stop ejector blade will need to be from a 270 win or 30/06 i think its lest of a hassle to find a 30/06 or 270 to start with. I have built a 318 WR from a 30/06 Parker Hale with just a bbl change.

You will need a 30-'06 or similar magazine box and possible do some work on that as well. The bolt face will / may need a bit of work as well. Assume you are re-barreling and not reboring.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
