Great Deal on Self Guided Elk, Deer, Bear and Wolf Hunt on Private Land in Idaho

Again this year, we are offering an self-guided hunt on private land in prime elk country in northern Idaho. Whitetails, black bear and wolf can be taken by rifle during the two available October hunts. Ranch is 45 minutes from the Spokane airport on private land within the Coeur d' Alene Indian Reservation. This area has one of the largest elk herds in Idaho. Huntable land is about 2500 acres.

Only one group will be allowed on these two separate hunts. A very clean and rustic cabin will be provided atop a mountain with mixed vegetation to black forests to clear cuts on adjacent paper company land. A small creek also flows through the lower portion of the property with abundant moose (permit only), turkey and ruffed grouse. All you will need are your food, bed roll (cabin in propane heated), hunting gear and 4x4. A 4x4 may be available for rent during the hunt. The came comfortably sleeps 4-5 people. has a propane stove and all pots, pans and utensils, propane lamps, small kitchen area and table for eating or just plain relaxing. Animals have been previously taken off this secluded cabin from porch.Two previously used hanging trees are near the cabin capable of hanging 4 elk. The owner will also give you information on a locally available meat locker for whole animal cold storage, a nearby butcher and taxidermist. A chest freezer is also available at the property owners house for temporary storage during the hunt in case you like to butcher and wrap your own meat.

The property owner will provide a summary of non-resident license fees and hunting seasons with a copy of the Idaho regulations by sending an email to smuller.consult@gmail.com. The owner of the property will greet you upon arrival and provide you with keys to the gates, cabin, gun locker and water supply for the hunt. He will also give you a guided tour a day prior to the hunt including topographic maps with property boundaries.

Don't miss this chance to hunt one of the most productive elk herds in the country. While the wolf population is diminishing due to rancher hunting efforts, they still wander in and out of the property including and elusive grizzly. Wolf tags are cheap and please shoot any that you see. Lion also den on remote parts of the property but tend to be nocturnal. If you have horses, we do have some fenced pasture on the lower part of the property with water.

The hunt starts in the second week of October and the second hunt starts in the third week of the month. The cost is $1000 per person with a minimum of 3 people. This limited offer will not last long.

I grew up in Idaho and you will be treated just like me coming in from another state as far as the liscense and hunting is concerned. Here is their web site http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/public/hunt/
Might want to check and see if a hunter safety class card is required.
Probably the biggest problem will be importing a rifle to hunt with. The USA has a reputation for being difficult to do that. Others here might have some info on that for you. You may be better off trying to rent or borrow a rifle here. Bruce

The first season elk were cows the hunters had cows only tags and there was good success. There were several good bulls seen as well. The second season the deer hunters got a nice whitetail but had it in their truck before we could get a picture.

By the way, some hunters outside of the US have decided not to come so we are now offering entire two seasons for a low price of $5,000. This is for a maximum of 3 hunters. A 4th hunter will be an additional $500.

The first archery season for elk and deer ends on the 30th of September. There is a late season, however, for whitetail from December 10th to 24th and a cow elk season on the "A" elk tag that is good for December 10th through 16th (tags are over-the-counter). We've never hunted this late hunt so I can't tell you how productive is might be.

Our weather does not get brutally cold like the rest of the Rockies even if there is snow on the ground. Normally this area does not get its snow until March but there is no way to know for sure this early in the Fall.

If you are interested, perhaps we can work out a hunt.

We have decided to offer an archery package this year at our mountain cabin property. As an archer myself, I totally enjoy the sport. We have a tree blind on a well travel game trail and plenty of other good ground blinds. For a still hunter or one that likes to stalk, there are many old skid road (somewhat overgrown) that crisscross our mountain when a part of it was logged 50 years ago. The game use these trails and for the most part (some fallen trees) one can stalk to the animals.

The antlered elk season runs December 10th through 16th and archery whitetail (either sex) will be open at the same time as well as bear and wolf. Since this is the first year we are offering this hunt we have decided to offer it at a bargain rate of $3000 ($total cost) for up to 4 hunters. This is a great time to fill your freezer before the holidays.

Let us know if you are interested and we can fill you in with more details. We do have another party who said they would like the hunt so the earlier you book, the better your guarantee it will be available.

While the hunting season is nearly upon us, we have not yet booked the rifle hunt. Since you mentioned our good price, we will offer you yet a better price if you are interested.

We've decided to combine the two October hunts into one hunt allowing the hunters an optimal chance for successful. this means the timeline for the package extends from October 10 through October 29th. While you would need two separate elk tags to hunt both seasons, deer, bear and wolf season are good through this entire timeline.

For the paltry price of $4000, you can have up to 4 hunters for the two seasons...a significant savings. The single season arrangement is still open but for the 4th person, we will only charge $500.

Let me know should you be interested or know someone else who might be. Should a group that you recommend book, we will give you a $100 for the recommendation.

Sean…what is the catch here? I don't know a lot about hunting africa, but I do know Elk/Deer hunting here in the states. I am having trouble understanding why you are having trouble selling these hunts if they are legit.

Providing more visual evidence (other than legs sticking out of a truck bed)would help-previous hunter success on bulls taken.

Your posts last year indicate 5 point bulls frequent the property as well as big white tail- some pics of these would be great in helping interested parties know what their money is going toward. Did you sell this hunt last year? animal pics? hunt results? pics of the property? cabin? references?

..and with regard to money, the price is ridiculous! If this is legit, and 5 point bulls are know to frequent the property with any regularity, I would think this offer would be gobbled up within 5 minutes after the initial post!

Much of this just seems to good to be true with many inconsistencies, maybe I am wrong and I apologize if this is the case.

Convince me that you and the offer are legit, and you may have sold your hunt!

If I was not legit, you would see posts to that effect. Last year, as I indicated in posted threads, was the first time we leased. And as these threads say, the first season cows we're take and the second season a mule deer buck. I am a licensed geologist in the State of Idaho, so I do not do unethical things as you are suggesting in terms of misrepresentation.

Posting the property map would encourage trespass and the cabin was posted on either the archery or muzzleloading post. Posting pictures of animals taken in prior years were not available as my ranch hand was the only one who hunted the property. His son took a 5 point three years ago and a trespasser was caught trying to drag a 5 point off the property before then. Before that time, I did not own the property and I spend much of my year abroad working at gold and copper mines.

We had a party from Australia who wanted to come but firearms were an issue as was the hunter safety verification. Regarding why it is not leased as yet relates more to the timeline that we offered the hunt and hunters making plans than lack of interest. We have interest in the hunts for next year should we decide to offer the hunt.

If you are serious about a hunt, I will need to know more information about you. I do not reside on the property and my ranch hand developed a heart condition and lives in St. Maries near the hospital. I do not just give out property maps to anyone as I don't need more trespassers shooting the elk.
