Hello fellow hunters and huntresses,

I've just found this website a couple of days ago and think it is just great, so I figured I would join and enjoy all the benefits and stories. I've been to Africa twice, once in "88 ( I borrowed the money while I was still in college to go and hunt Loliondo, Tanzania) and then again to RSA last year for 5 weeks (hunting for 2). They were both incredible experiences and I would recommend South Africa to anyone. Anyone who thinks hunting the private ranches here is easy is sadly mistaken. For some of the species, it was the toughest hunting I've ever done, but also the most rewarding. I'll be back.

Hi Vinny welcome and I must say it is good to hear someone saying good things about RSA and the hunting on Ranches here.

Good to hear some Afrikaans jy is welkom Vinny. Ha Ha

Welcome to AH vinny! Glad that you decided to join us and happy to hear your point of view... We look forward to hearing more about your hunting experiences.

Hi Vinny, glad you joined the forum. Also got to say that I've really enjoyed hunting those big white-tails and mule deer up your way.

Thanks Big5

I've got a few nice ones, but no real monsters yet...but they're out there waiting. Have a good week.

Welcome aboard from a fellow new guy :thumb:

Where abouts in Alberta are you located? I'll be west of Lethridge hunting ducks and geese in mid October.

Jason

Thanks Jason. I'm about 100 miles to the east of Lethbridge. Although I have'nt hunted birds for many years, I wish you luck. Hopefully you'll get some decent weather. I was fortunate enough to draw an antelope tag for October.

Vinny

I’m with you Vinny . . . I’ve nailed some nice ones but no real monsters yet either. But as you also said, we know they’re out there waiting . . . and that, my friend, is what keeps us coming back and smiling in those teeth rattling temperatures. Best wishes and good luck to you on getting that monster!

Vinny welcome to AH. I thought I would draw antelope this year at level 6 but didn't....applied north side of Suffield....hopefully next year. You must live near the Hat.

Karibu Vinny... post some of your Loliondo hunting photos please. That is one of the best areas in Tanzania and am sure you have some fine trophies from your hunt there. Cheers,

Jambo! I'll try. Back in those days there was no digital images so I'll have to try scanning some images and get them posted. Have a good one.

Vinny

Hello Skyline,

I live in the Hat and my antelope draw is for the area south of the Cypress Hills to the Montana border. Have a good weekend.

Vinny.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
