I have dreamed of hunting Africa since I was 6 years old and now that I am retired I am planning to go. It will be in either 2024 or 2025. Since it will be my first Safari (not to mention it is cheaper) I am planning on a plains game hunt. My primary targets will be Eland, Kudu and Warthog but if money allows a couple other animals could be taken. I am planning to use a T/C Contender with a 14” barrel and a 2x6 scope in .375 JDJ for the Eland and an Eabco BF pistol with a 14” barrel and 2x6 scope in 6.5 BRM for the smaller critters. I don’t have to shoot the biggest but would like an older animal taken the right way. If there is a package that includes these that would be fine also. I would like to do something with 5 - 7 hunting days in a good area and it doesn’t matter if it is on a fenced property as long as it is a large size and not a “put and shoot” type situation. I am thinking South Africa would be my best bet. If anyone has a good recommendation for an outfitter or PH, and especially if they have done a handgun hunt please let me know.

Thanks,
Ronnie

If you repost this in the Deals & Offers forum, I wager you will get the answers you seek from a number of outfitters rather promptly. Might take a bit for them to find you here. Good luck in your search, and your upcoming hunt!

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
