Hello, I am a 47 years old Patterdale Terrier and American Pit Bull Terrier fan from Germany. Now I have only 2 old APBT females, because there is a law against breeding them in Germany, and 9 Patterdale Terriers.
I use my smaller dogs for fox and badger, the bigger ones on wild boar.
Here is a little fun clip, where you can see a part of my pack playing on my yard:

Welcome snake, those Patterdales are good looking dogs!

Thank you!
I like them bigger, because there is more wild boar work than earthwork in my area.
Also we have a lot of badgers in fox burrows, and difficult earth with many rocks below.
Wild boar is not what they were bred for, but they work them fantastic.
And some of my dogs are too big for earthwork.

...I hope my English is ok.

Welcome Snake to the AH website and Forum!

Welcome to AH, Snake, nice dogs. I am specially fond of Rottweilers.

Wollte nur sagen, willkommen in AH. Ich hoffe, mein Deutsche ist ok. Es hat eine weile her, seit ich es benutzt.

Thank you all for your wellcome!

For hunting I prefer Teckels

I think you use them below, ...right?
There are two kind of Teckels in my area. The smart ones, who bolt the fox / badger with barking, and the hard ones who fight the quarry below.
What kind of them do you prefer?

The hard ones, they are probably the most ferocious and fearless dogs on earth, considering their size.

I prefer the hard ones, too. But we have many rocks below, not easy to dig and strong badgers.
A hard dogs live could be very short in my area.
So some hunters prefer the smart ones, to save the costs for the vet or a new dog.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
