Hunting reports

Hello I’m Simon from the South Island of New Zealand.
I’m originally from England but emigrated 6 years ago.
I hunted a lot in Europe and England. Having stalked deer for 20 odd years on pretty well a weekly basis. I spent a lot of time hunting in the mountains too and used to love it.
I have hunted in Tajikistan and adored it.
I was addicted to tahr hunting in our mountains in NZ but an unfortunate accident resulted in a year of being on crutches and a fair bit of time suffering with a severe traumatic brain injury. That means no more mountain hunts and my African hunting journey starting a few years earlier than I had planned to.
I spend my spare time clay shooting with my trusty krieghoff
Yet to hunt Africa but plenty of plans.

Welcome to AH Simon! Glad you found us.

Welcome to AH Simon. What game will you be after in Africa?

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to AH.
Enjoy the research and planning for your African adventure.

Giday Simon and welcome to the A H forums. Injury has changed your habbits but not your hunting ambitions so that is a good thing. Where are you in the SI. I am in South Otago.

Hello SWS1 (Simon),

Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.

I am sorry to learn of your serious injury.
However, I am impressed to likewise learn that you are not just sitting around, doing nothing.
But instead, you are continuing to train and fight your way upward and onward.
Bravo I say.

Best Regards,
Velo Dog (Paul).

Welcome to AH! Admire your persistence and I think once you’ve been to Africa you’ll join the list of Afro-addicts here on this website.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
