The website for bovington museum in south of England. Went when I was bout 10 years old and was lot smaller then but very interesting.... Now much larger and lot more stuff and shows . Definitely worth a visit if you are in that area. Good roe deer stalking as well I believe
I believe visiting the UK has now gone way up on my list of things to do. The problem, though, will be whether the trip will be to visit the Tank Museum and then do a side trip for hunting or the other way around. Either way I am sure PB will be rolling her eyes.
Very neat. Shame Thirty Corps couldn't have managed that pace during the actual battle. Interesting that the only tanks were Shermans. There are a couple of Cromwells still running, though I have not heard of a restored Churchill in private hands. One of the pictured Shermans was a Firefly which was the only version of the Sherman capable of shooting it out with a Panther face-to-face. Even it had to try and catch a Tiger in the flank. Looked like and Archer tank destroyer as well. Fabulous collection of vehicles.
Something really worth seeing in the UK is the Tank Museum and the annual Tankfest. https://www.tankmuseum.org/whats-on/events/tankfest It is the finest collection of armored vehicles in the world, and many are driven during the fest.
