A lot bigger than one imagines.

You are mixing apples and oranges with your comparison.

Be fair and Try
Asia vs Africa

or south America vs Africa

or north America vs Africa

Can't understand what you don't agree with. If you look at the map above then the entire North America fits into only a small portion of Africa so there is a comparison with Africa and North America. The entire China and the entire India also fits into only a portion of Africa so again there is a comparison with Africa and Asia. Don't look at other maps as they are not to scale. Look at the picture above that reflects actual square meters of ground surface.

Also - Did you know there are more mobile phones in Africa than what there are people in America... Something to think about.

Can't understand what you don't agree with. .........

Apples to Apples - Continents to Continent is probably what James is after.

and yes Africa is a very large continent.

1. Asia - 17,139,445 square miles (44,391,162 square km)
2. Africa - 11,677,239 square miles (30,244,049 square km)
3. North America - 9,361,791 square miles (24,247,039 square km)
4. South America - 6,880,706 square miles (17,821,029 square km)
5. Antarctica - About 5,500,000 square miles (14,245,000 square km)
6. Europe - 3,997,929 square miles (10,354,636 square km)
7. Australia - 2,967,909 square miles (7,686,884 square km)

Thanks Brickburn - I was thinking I would do that this AM.

Now if Bushman were comparing individual countries go for it.

Besides he left Canada and Alaska off the map. Gee being, go figure.

Can't understand what you don't agree with...

Thanks for the actual numbers, the picture above does paint an interesting picture though.

It just seems that big if you are the last man walking behind a ph and 2 trackers after a bad shot on an animal. Or if that elephant you are following gets your wind! Thanks for the stats and comparisons.
