I have been lurking on the site for several months, thought it was time to officially join. I am headed to South Africa in just less than two months (leave Houston Intercontinental July 2) for a week of hunting with Blaauwkrantz Safaris and a week driving the Garden Route back to Cape Town with my daughter (non-hunter and hopefully videographer!) on a FIRST-TIME (am I really going?!?!?!) safari! Will be focusing on spiral horn ... kudu, nyala, and bushbuck ... and one or two additional animals if opportunity presents itself.

The site has been VERY helpful and I want to be able to share any thing that I learn that might be valuable to another reader.

welcome aboard scott ,
the drive after the hunt will be a great way to unwind and see plenty of Africa ,mate .
great idea ,hopefully your daughter will capture both the hunt and the holiday road trip on film .
enoy the site

Welcome to AH Scott! Looking forward to your participation…

Glad to have you on the dark side.

The hunting report with pictures and video clips should be some payback!

Have a great hunt for those curly horn antelope.

Welcome to AH, Scott...You picked a good outfitter.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
