These are definately 3 year old prices. I can get you the same package at US $10,500 in Moz. Great deal that includes: 7 days 1 x1, Trophy fee for both Hippo and Croc, Accomodations, food, beverages, etc. Road transport from Beira and back to Beira, Moz. I can get into more detail if needed. Send a PM.

Which area is this hunt being sold and which PH ?
Thank you

I would PM him, but I think the PH is Grant Taylor. Wes had a excellent hunt in Moz. Shot a monster sable too!!!

Since you did not reply to my question , i would like to tell you that from Mozambique is currently not possible to EXPORT hippos !!

So your offer is to shot a hippo that we are not able to export ?
Why didnt you say to Poc4u here in the forum that he is not able to get his hippo home in the first place?
Cheers

maybe because Poc didn't ask, but at least there has been discussion, as for him not answering your question, perhaps he has been busy for the past 2 days
I also believe that when a client and outfitter discuss the options of the hunt, and formalize the contract, anything and everything would likely be discussed then and there, and more than likely not in the open forum.

Appologies for the late reply. We had the Houston Safari Club Convention this past weekend and I was away from my computer.

I am fully aware that at this time Hippo are not exportable from Mozambique. My hippo skull and tusks are currently in the country until the issues are resolved. Most on this forum are aware of the closure, but that is why I asked to PM if any was interested. Just because export of the hippo is not possible at this time, I am explaining to those interested that one option (which I am currently doing) is to have a replica made. They are VERY life-like and the cost is reasonable. Once the exportation issues are resolved the skull and tusk can be imported at that time. From what I am understanding, the importation issue will likely be resolved this year.

To be clear, I am not an outfitter. I was passing on information to AH members of a great deal with a great company (Grant Taylor of Mashambanzou Safaris)........Almost thought I was on a different forum for a minute there. Phew!

You sure have good skills.

Ha!Ha!....that point is probably debatable!!! No problem. I try and "keep my ear to the ground" for deals that I feel are with great companies and the prices are exceptional as compared to most offers. I try to share the info with my friends. In the case of the lioness hunt, it fit that criteria and also had the option of maybe being able to hunt with other AH members.
