I love my new gun!!!!!!!!!!

I love this thing. I have never owned a gun that shoots like this before, or even remotely close to it. It consistently shoots 3 shot groups at under 1.5" at 300yds! I love it. I wish I had rebarrelled this rifle years ago when I first had the urge. I have to give the boys at Corlanes sporting goods (Rocky Mountain Rifles) a huge thanks for this amazing weapon.

It loved my good old 100gr TSXs and shot about a 2 1/4" group at 300 yds then I tried the TTSXs... WOW I am so impressed! :bighello:

Now that load development is over I sighted in with 3 shots, a 2 shot group then put the gun in a vice, moved the crosshairs to center of the group and then fired shot #3. You have to look hard to see it in the picture but it is right where it needs to be. I cant wait to try this thing out on some unlucky critter.

What caliber is this?? It's a great feeling when you're shooting sub half inch groups. I get a high every time I can get one of my rifles to shoot clovers. Much of it is taking the time to experiment and develop the right load. Congrats on your gun!

I have shot groups like that with a few guns, if you shoot enough it will happen occasionally by fluke, still feels good but nothing like knowing you can shoot them all day long! I wish everyone had a gun like this, theres plenty of room on cloud 9!!!

Vihtavouri N570. By the chronograph it should vertically string like mad since they have a 100+fps variance shot to shot but it doesn't seem to at all. I also have a H1000 load that is just 25fps slower than the N570 and only has a 25fps variance but due to powder availability and the fact that it doesn't seem to have any adverse affects I went with the N570. Long term I am sure I will switch to the H1000, it just makes sense, the groups are the same, velocity nearly the same and it is normally much easier to find.

Yup this is the gun that I was having problems with a year and a half ago. New BBL, Blueprinted, fancy powder coat and the stock refinished. Looks and shoots better than new.

When I got thinking about BBl life as close as I can figure I have had this gun since 1996 and I am sure my estimates on how many rounds I fired through it are definitely way low. I started keeping track just for curiosity since I got this one but have already lost count, it is a lot though, I definitely got my moneys worth out of the last bbl.

I must admit, I think a lot of guns are capable of this kind of accuracy. It's a matter of finding the right bullet, scope and capable shooter. I have a 22-250, 270 Win, and 7mm Rem Mag that are that accurate.

This is my 1st go at Vit. I must admit, it worked well on each bullet tested. I don't know what the extreme spread is all about. I did a google search for info and found no other evidence of it, some complaints of poor temperature tolerance but nothing like I am seeing.

With modern computer machining processes it has certainly made very accurate rifles more common. Truly amazing accuracy is still elusive, or expensive. It blows my mind that there are far more accurate rifles out there than this one.

I have not even tried the TTSX yet in any of my guns. But I have had great results with ballistic tips, Swift A's and Scirocco's.

I tried R22 and R25 with Bergers, Hornadys, Sierras, Nozlers, and Swifts. Groups were average between 3/4" and 1.5"...unacceptable! Then I decided to try 7828. First group out of the gun was under .25". With that load I shoot sub .25" - .5" groups all day. I spoke to my gunsmith about it. He mentioned load development (or lack of) is the number one reason for inaccuacy and that most guys just give up on the gun after just a few loads.

True most guys don't have the time or desire to pursue the perfect load. Most spend a moderate amount of time and settle for the 1st decent load they try while many prefer to just lean over the hood of a running truck and shoot a box or rock at some unspecified distance and call it good if they hit it and go hunt from there.

The other problem is that few people have a gun range right out their back door, an exponential degree of apathy grows with each mile they have to travel to shoot, not everyone is obsessed.

A 200 and 100 yards group out of my 25 using 115 grain Nosler combined technology silver tips.
