In September 6th I'm going to Mozambique for Buffalo hunt

A year ago, myself and two friends of me decided to go to Africa for a buffalohunt.
I have been to Africa once a year for the last 16 years, and this time I wanna go for a buffalo.
For several years back I hunted with Kwalata Wildernes and Reinhard Heuser and Jaco Strauss.
I contacted Jaco in the matter of buffalo, and I got a offer for buffalohunt in Mozambique.
Jaco is running the business Kwalata Safaris, and have some cooperation with Hardus van Zyl (Cabassa safaris)
The huntingarea is laying ond the north side of Zambezi river in the dry area (not the swamp) not far from the city of Quelimane.
We are booking flight from Oslo - Jo,burg - Quelimane, there are a flight from Jo.burg to Quelimane I think it is LAM.
After the Cyclone they hope the infrastructure is in order so we can go there in September, otherwice we will be hunting in Qoutada 10.
We can hunt for Buffalo, and hopefully we also can add a extra buffalo, we can also hunt Sable, Croc, Hippo, Chobe bushbuck and several antilopes.
The whole trip included everything except airlinetickets cost us 16025 USD.
Any of you guys that have been to this area before?
I know that after this cyclone the Cholera is an epidemic an also the Malaria mosquito is exploding. so we need to take the Cholera vaccine, the Malaria pills are a must I know.

“Thanks Weston for your message and yes Beira the main port and airport where are clients fly into from Johannesburg took the full force of Cyclone Idai. The airport is completely in ruins and is shut for now. But miraculously our camp wasn’t hit although the water levels in the swamps must be quiet high. So its business as usual for us.

Obviously our thoughts and prayers are with the many people of Mozambique who have been affected tragically by the cyclone.

I hunted Mahimba in 2015 or so. That is very close to where you will be and may actually be the same area. Lots of buffalo, nothing huge but plenty of mature bulls. At the time plains game was plentiful as were crocs. A 12’ croc was good for the area. You should ask about plains game numbers. I understand that poaching was pretty tough during the year or so that the outfitters pulled out due to unrest in the area. Take your malaria meds and get a global rescue membership. It’s remote! Don’t spend time in Quelimane if you can help it.

Very familiar with Jaco.... supercool dude from all that I have ever heard. Big personality. Also, knowledgeable with the Quelimane (kill a man) Hunting area as well as the Coutada. All premier locations. Was the $16k just for 1 Buffalo and other species can be added on? Or $16k buffalo & other species included?
