Bos en Dal Safaris would like to invite everyone to our hospitality suite at the Westin Park Central Hotel in Dallas, TX on Saturday, January 11, 2020, during DSC.

We’ll have plenty of beer, South African wine, brandy, and soft drinks on hand, biltong and other snacks available, and will be giving out door prizes including hats, shirts, and a couple of custom knives to AH members that attend.

The time is from 6PM-9PM

Location is: 12720 Merit Dr., Dallas TX 75251 (we’ll post the room number of the hospitality suite we will be in once we have that confirmed at check in).

The Westin Park Central Hotel is just a short drive north of Downtown Dallas and is right off Hwy 75 (a major Dallas highway that cuts through the center of the city). You should be able to get there from the Convention Center in about 15 minutes.

RSVP isn’t required, but if you know for sure you will be stopping by, please do try to let us know by posting in this thread in advance. We want to make sure we have plenty of food and drink available (going dry at a Bos en Dal party is not allowed! :) )...

Sounds like fun!

For those guys in the area please make sure to pop in to see what specials we will be having for the year.

And if you are planning a hunt come and discuss with us your needs and let us help you plan the ultimate safari!!!!

Just realized there is a typo in the original post...

the get together is SATURDAY the 11TH..

Not the 10th :)

just a quick bump/reminder.. Saturday is approaching fast.. we'd love to have all the DSC bound AH'ers to come by and share a beer with us..

give-aways include these two items (hand made, by me... @sierraone said I needed to figure out a skinner.. so, I did.. just for this occasion :) .. the top blade has leopardwood scales.. the bottom has african olive wood )....

15 minutes on North Central Freeway, are you sure about that?

google maps says 18 minutes..

I've made it in 15 or less several times (traffic dependent)...

12 minutes isnt outside the realm of possibility if you dont get hung up at multiple traffic lights moving from the Omni/Convention Center to US75.. once you are on the highway its a straight shot the entire way at interstate speeds.

All that said.. dont try this at 5PM on a Thursday.. traffic will slow you down and it will become a 45 minute trip..

I have never made that in 15 minutes when I lived the concrete jungle. 45 minutes was more like it. But I will put it on my schedule.

Lol... Dallas traffic does indeed suck...

We’ll have a cold beer waiting on you for your troubles

Prefer a bottle of South African wine, cab.

A couple of South African Cabs procured (along with some Amarula, some brandy, some beer, a few additional wines, and some soft drinks.. more available than what is in the pic... :) )..

If booze, snacks (2 KG of biltong among other treats, and swaro caps arent enough to lure you to come visit.. perhaps we can inspire you with a view of the city..

our party room is located in the Westin Executive Suites on the 19th floor of the hotel, with a nice view of the Dallas skyline..

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
