For those of you who enjoy cooking, here's a Japanese Yanagiba single-side knife made by Masamitsu in Japan. The Kanji engraving on the front of the blade says “Made by Masamitsu”. The backside of blade has engraving called “White Steel”. (It is the Japanese Carbon steel name “White Steel”).

I've owned it for 28 years and sharpened it lightly once. The marks on the blade are dust and oil from protecting the carbon steel blade. It has to be cleaned and oiled after each use. Original cost was $167.

...and yes, it's extremely sharp. If you have ever seen a sushi chef peel a cucumber, you have an idea as to what this blade will do.

I'll part with it for $45, plus 7.50 for shipping from Port Charlotte, FL

You should have posted it before Halloween, Jason or Freddie or Norman Bates would have bought it from you!:D

Beautiful blade by the way.(y)
