Since all of us are stranded at home I just wanted to call out John Sharp’s new book. I have just finished reading it for the second time and have found it to be superb. I place it right next to my Horn of The Hunter which I have lost count how many times I have read. If you have not purchased it is well worth its modest price and I highly recommend it. Having hunted Africa myself I can easily say his book makes me feel like I am back!!!

Mr. Sharp is an exceptional man, truly one of the good guys on the planet! I am so glad that John wrote this book as there is so much lost when not documented. I’m just hoping that he will write a second book with more of his stories in it. Such a great adventure his life has been!
Have you seen the prints that are for sale of the river crossing? Very cool and they make a great addition to a gun/trophy room. If you are interested @tarbe can get you lined out on one!
Cheers,
Cody

I received an email from John early this morning. Virtual safari!

Knowing that you are sitting at home like we are, I thought a little distraction might be in order, so I’ve sent you some pix of our stunning African animals.

Dave Langerman has joined me and we are now marketing hunts in Niassa, Mozambique as well as the BVC and Matetsi in Zimbabwe. Dave will be guiding all Mozambique hunts.

Let’s hope that this madness will end soon.

Yours in good hunting,
John & Dave

Thanks for this post. Did not know about this John Sharp. We have a politician in Texas with the same name. Now chancellor of Texas A&M.

Oh boy, I'm suffering Africa withdrawl! My trip this year of course was cancelled so a little shooting and vicarious hunting and dreaming is about all there is for now. Thanks for posting and for absolutely certain anyone wanting a great adventure... research these PHs and look into those destinations including BVC and Niassa. You won't be disappointed!

Thanks for your kind words @Rare Breed!

Southern Africa is certainly blessed with many fine PHs...and many of them are fine men, as well.

John Sharp and Dave Langerman are among the very best of this lot. You cannot go wrong spending your time in the bush with these gentlemen. The 12 days I spent in the BVC with Cody, John and Dave are no doubt the most memorable days of my 50 years of hunting.

And Cody is correct...I have all three sizes of prints (including the signed/numbered limited edition), and I can also get books for anyone interested.

I have a few of the soft covers ready to ship, and can get the hard cover, signed and numbered version as well - just need to fetch them from the distributor.

PM me to discuss!

Tim

Thanks Cody - I say the same about you my friend. I really hope we'll get to share a campfire again someday with Dave and Tim.
Blessings,
John

Tim,
Thank you as always for your very kind words. I believe that we had such an amazing time because you, Cody and Dave are all truly amazing people. We could have a great time doing anything together.
God bless you all,
John

I'm just hoping Cody writes a book soon. It will be entitled HOW I TAUGHT JOHN SHARP AND CRAIG BODDINGTON EVERYTHING THEY KNOW ABOUT BUFFALO AND KITTY CATS.

Funniest John Sharp anecdote I've heard recently: He walks over and shoots a puff adder. The guys ask "why"? "For old times' sake", he replies.

John is a man of good humor considering one of those snakes about killed him.

Toby,
I would never name it that, I want to be welcomed back to hunt with John, not kicked in the nuts. Lol. I do have to give it to Craig for inscribing that book. He gave me a great laugh just the other night when I opened the book cover. This DSC was a blast!
