Kahles Helia RF - any feedback

I had a look at the 8x42 & 10x42 at the huntex convention in Johannesburg on Thursday.

Having owned an older Leica Geovid and hunting hard with it for 5 years now, that used to be my gold standard, together with my Swarovski 10x40 Porri prism dating from 1981.

The kahles was as clear and quicker to range compared to my Leica. Compared to the new Leicas snd Swarovski EL Range it is also much lighter. The biggest plus is retail is just under half of the Leica and Swarovski at about R19500 or $1600.

I'd appreciate any feedback if some of the members here had used them before, before I purchase on.

I believe Kahles is owned by the same company as Swaro. Great glass from the ones I have seen/used, but I don't own any. All were on my buddy's guns.

Hi,

I don't see the Kahles RF either. Cannot be bad. For binoculars, Kahles outsources the making of them.
And K. was under Swarovski umbrella only a few years. Now is, again, the independent family company it used to be.
