Marius and Kim are currently in the Great White North after having just finished up the Toronto Sportsmen Show. The show went quite well ....

Taking a cue from Brickburn about the outfitters never seeing anything but urban areas while attending the shows and not to be outdone we first headed out to check the trapline ... ok maybe it was just a snowmobile ride ...

Walleye and a little ice skating in the next installment, provided "snow madness" doesn't get them first!

A day on the Ottawa river ice fishing. Not sure if it was "snow madness" or they just build them tough in RSA ... you be the judge!

A walleye was finally caught and of course a trophy photo was obligatory ...

Fish should have been closer to the lens and it would look like it was twenty pounds.

Awesome effort guys. Ice fishing is an acquired taste for sure.

Nice to see P.H.s enjoying themselves up here. I think the shorts photo looks photoshopped. You know how good they can make us look with our trophies!!!! If I had a ice cold walleye, the only thing left to mount would be a backbone and tailfin! Yum!!!

Sad to report that the walleye did not make it to the taxidermist, unfortunately it was consumed for supper
I must work on my trophy photos, but I can guarantee it is authentic, as only Marius would have New Zealand "All Blacks" rugby shorts instead of "Springboks"

What trip to Canada wouldn't be complete without a skate, eh?

Glad to hear you made it, wouldn't you know it stopped snowing right after you guys left! Soon headed off to the ice, may have to stop off to pick up some replacement fireball though!
