I recently purchased a Leupold BX-2 Alpine 8x42 Binocular with the thought of keeping them in my truck for glassing during scouting and secondary use for eastern US whitetail / hog hunting. I can say I am pretty impressed with their performance for the price point. I have used them in temps from 20F to 70F and before to after shooting light. While I have no measurable data to back up this statement I personally feel the lenses are equal to or clearer than my VX3I scope. Construction seems of decent quality with no glaring issues. I had not read many reviews online prior to purchasing so I figure I will update this thread as the weather gets colder, exposed to precipitation, and generally knocked around.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
