Nosler Shooter Pro Shop has open-box demo scope per the title for $700.

If you are a Vet or First Responder and registered with them, you even get the 10% discount (I put one in my basket to verify).

No idea if there is one available or many....hurry if you are interested!

Tim, I pulled up the site and it looks like they have 1 in stock. I have been looking for one of these with the illuminated firedot duplex reticle since I looked at it at the Dallas show. I couldn't tell whether this was illuminated or not so I pulled up the item number on Leupold's site. It is the non-illuminated version. Still a great scope, but just FYI. Also FYI, I have been watching the web and if you shop you can get the illuminated version for $899 or a little less.

Yeah, I personally would want the Firedot. I have it on my VX-6 2-12 and love it.

But for $630 I was tempted!

Have you had any trouble with the illumination? I have a VX-3 1.5-5 with the illuminated duplex on my 375 and I have had trouble with it intermittently not illuminating. Thankfully it worked at the moment of truth on my buffalo! I talked to the Leupold rep at the show and he said the prongs in the battery enclosure sometimes need to be adjusted or replaced. They will fix it but it is a PITA to have to send it back.

Have not had any issues with my VX-6 in two years.

Hopefully a little McGyver action and all would be good?

I have fiddled with it a little. The contacts for the battery look fragile to me, though, and I am a little afraid of over McGyvering it.

Dam you Tim! I couldn't pass on it for $630 bucks! Lol
Thanks for the heads up brother, I owe you one.

Ussually $100 more for the illuminated version. They also have a 2-12 and 3-18 and I think both illuminated, but the 3-18 is x 50 and that is a huge monster of a scope, too big and bulky for me.. i thought the 2-12 was a good buy. But I have two allready.... Well then again?

I looked a bit ago, but I think they also had a VXR 2-7... That is really a very practical hunting scope, especially for the money. Nice and compact, real decent glass and firedot.

WOW $630 was a steal. Congrats on getting a great scope!

IMHO , the VX6 2-12x42 is one of the best quality and most versatile scopes on the market.

At least for the money it is! Although for hunting on some DG rifles, I prefer the 1-6 rendition. And the older VXR line in 1-4, 2-7, and 3-9 for half the cost are great options... For example, on a 458, I don't know why one would need more than a 1-4, and if you want a more compact scope for a 375 or even 416, the 2-7 might work well.

I think I'm going to put this scope on my 416 RM when it gets here, wish they would have had a couple, need one for my Lott. But as Bob said a VX-R 1-4 would serve well on that 458.

HI all, here is a Short update on our America trip, I currently in Houston and have 2 more meetings here before movings North toward Oklahoma, Missouri and Iowa, and from there I will head to Colorado and Idaho,I have been met with great hospitality and friendship, and have met several new and old clients and we are going to book the rest of 2025 season quick and have several dates booked for 2026!
That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
