$6,500 7-Day all-inclusive safari for 2 family members to include the following: ​

1) 7 days inclusive of 5 trophy animals and the listed non-hunting activities and excursions:

2) 1 non-hunting day excursion for 2, with your choice of any of the 5 most requested destinations in the Limpopo. Choose 1 from list of day trip excursions below.

3) One evening of a night-time game drive to view the many nocturnal African critters that only come out at night in the bush.

4) A private sundowner for 2 at a scenic riverside overlook including cocktails and appetizers.

5) A full body and head massage at our own Lanoka Bush Spa for 2 people.

Select one day trip excursion from any of the 4 on the list below:

1) Marakele Predator Park: Your chance to interact with lion and cheetah cubs in an up close and personal encounter.

2) Zebula Elephant Sanctuary: Personal interaction with your own elephant while doing a game viewing drive via elephant back ride.

3) Pilanesberg National Park: Your best opportunity to view and photograph the Big 5 via the traditional 4x4 vehicle game drive in the Limpopo.

4) Ukutula Lion Park: A very unique opportunity to walk among the big cats of Africa in a free-range setting in their own natural habitat.

5) A Combination of Cultural Excursions: This trip will include a visit to the local village and school, and then a guided nature walks on our own lodge properties to learn about Africa’s diverse biomes and ecosystems.

The missus and I did this exact package back in August of this year. If you're on a tight-ish budget and have never been, this is a great value.

The 2 hour full body and head massage was crazy good. Tip those young ladies well. It was so relaxing, I was snoring (with the missus and the 2 masseuses giggling, which woke me up) before my first leg was done.

Also, given world-wide economic conditions, I'm stunned to see only an 8% increase over the price we paid this past August - I figured it was going to be closer to 20%

The private sundowner was also fantastic. The viewing tower is around 30' tall, maybe a little higher. It feels like you can see forever. Bring a camera or a cell phone with a good camera, take lots of pics of the last 10 or 15 minutes of the day. You'll want to put one of them on the cover of your coffee table book you put together when you get back home.

As the daylight fades after the sun has gone below the horizon, look to the NW and you'll see Venus about 30 or 40º above the horizon, the first "star" of the evening to reveal itself (the white dot at the very top of this pic).

I had to practically drag my missus on this trip. She was exhilarated by the first afternoon, and by day 6, a woman who'd done some shooting but had never hunted in her life, decided she wanted to get behind a rifle. When we go back, she's going with her own rifle.

All the staff was great - especially the chef and the whole crew of PHs. They were all courteous, genteel, even. And great fun, they all have a terrific sense of humor.

I think we had chicken once or twice, but the rest of the meals were all wild game - breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough, especially if this is your first foray into Africa. On a scale of 1 - 10, I give them a solid 20.
