A customer traded this rifle to us which appears to be a Mauser “Afrika” Model in 8x60S. The rifle is in good condition and has a single square bridge with claw mounts and set triggers. There is no scope supplied with it.
It seems to be the wooden hand guard version as described in Speed’s book. The serial number 112300 also appears in the book and is listed as a Model B square bridge in 8x60. All numbers match. The factory butt plate has unfortunately been replaced with a more recent rubber pad.
I was wondering if any of our members could assist in estimating it’s value?
