This is truly one of the most accurate guns I have owned and certainly one of the most accurate hunting rifles you can buy. I have 2 load recipes that I can provide to the buyer but the top end load is a 325 grain Pittman custom bullet running just over 3100 fps (not a typo). That load prints 1/4 MOA or better at 100 yards and the scope has ballistic turrets set to 600 yards of data. We have easily run 3" groups at 600 yards. The identical brother to this gun has taken several Cape buffalo and many long distance big game on TV hunting shows. There is plenty of power and more accuracy than can be held in the field.

I have about 140 of the custom bullets sized to this barrel and others can be ordered as needed. I have numerous accessories and everything needed to run this incredible gun. Add a primed ignition cartridge (9 are included) and dial the distance on the Swaro X5i 2-18x56, call the wind and prepare to be amazed. These custom bullets have a G1 of .448 at 3150 fps (Doppler verified) and 7k foot pounds of energy.

Build sheet, test target and many photos attached here. $9500 shipped to your FFL with scope dialed in, bullets, speed loaders, ignition cartridges, Arca plate and other misc accessories included. Ready to go.

This gun is all about the bullet. These Pittman Aeromax's are awesome. The 2nd photo is of the twin to this rifle and Alan Rovig, the owner of McWhorter Custom Rifles with one of his two cape buff taken in Africa with the 45XML and a thicker jacketed version of this bullet.

Thanks for catching that error! I had multiple rifles and similar scopes and listed that wrong. It's as the photo shows. Swaro Z8i 2-18x56 is the scope.

weekend bump

Thank you. The technology on the inline modern muzzleloaders is pretty crazy these days. There is absolutely no disadvantage to shooting one except it's a single shot. Whether you like that or not, is a different subject but this gun is legitimately one of the most accurate rifles I've ever shot, including target rifles. It's ridiculous.

Bump before fall seasons start.

Still available and reduced to $8500. Get it and go hunting!

I'm not really looking for anything but you can PM me with any trade offers. Some options might be Blaser R8 barrels, British sporting rifles, Shiloh Sharps...most of my interests are with vintage sporting guns.

That’s an amazing set up! I didn’t notice, or maybe I missed it; how much powder do you use to get 3,150 fps?

I just took my first muzzle loader elk last month…

Load data will be provided to buyer but let's just say it's a little more than 100 gr of H4895. That load is NOT for any other weapon but this McWhorter 45 XML. Don't even think about it. It's a lot of horsepower.

Kudos on your elk.

Sold pending funds to someone who will get a lot of good use out of it!

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)
