The Australian trap door spider - there are certain properties in the venom that appear to be beneficial in minimizing damage to heart muscles and stroke effects on the brain.
The trap door is extremely deadly but the research is very positive at the moment.
Any volunteers to capture trap door spiders to help in research?

I believe the funnel web spider also found in Oz is a mighty lot more dangerous

We lived in rural Southeast Louisiana for 6 years. Perhaps a good training ground for critters in Oz although it's an amphibians paradise overall. I've never seen so many black widow spiders, much less really large ones, than we saw there. Water moccasins also abound. It doesn't beat Oz for variety, but might be decent training ground on quantity.

Sonora Giant Centipede

Since the trapdoor spiders are only mildly venomous that project shouldn't be much of an issue, especially for residents of Oz. I know here in the US things like gila monster venom, water moccasin venom, and rattlesnake venom is used in some medical research.

Is there anyone in Oz like Coyote Peterson? He's voluntarily exposed himself to bites, stings, and venom from a variety of creatures to rate the pain on a scale. Here in the Americas, he rated they type of centipede that's common in this area as the most painful in this hemisphere (note he hasn't to my knowledge voluntarily been envenomated by black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, and other such potentially fatal bites & stings). This centipede has various local names and color patterns depending on the area it lives in. Here it's known as the Texas red headed centipede. Here's a pic of one about 8" long my wife discovered on our kitchen tile floor on a Saturday morning in May this year. She herded it into an empty plastic container and relocated it to the 700 acre ranch that's behind our property. Also here's the video of Coyote Peterson where he rates this venom significantly more painful than the bullet ant, his prior #1 most painful venom.

I’ve been “got” by a scorpion. Finger was numb fir 8.5 days - pain was excruciating. Two days in hospital - pain killing drip for hours.
Ps welcome to Oz.
In Australia I assume no one would volunteer to be bitten by our critters. Top 11 of the deadliest snakes in the world.
Taipan - don’t just bite once but several at the same time. You’ll see double in ten minutes - comatose in 20 and kidneys will be shitting down within 25 minutes.
Taipans are around this area but common sense sure goes a long way.
